EMPIRE STATE ASSISTS IN HURRICANE SANDY RELIEF EFFORT

TOTE Services was approached by MARAD to oversee the emergency activation of State of New York schoolship, SS EMPIRE STATE.

On October 31st. TOTE Services was approached by MARAD to oversee the emergency activation of State of New York schoolship, SS EMPIRE STATE. The vessel is being utilized to provide berthing and messing for approx. 600 relief and recovery workers of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) who are assisting in the New York City relief efforts in the wake of Hurricane Sandy.
