Michael Roberts serves as the Director of Government Operations for TOTE Services. He is responsible for the management and contract compliance of the company’s fleet of government-owned ships. He oversees multiple contracts with the U.S. Maritime Administration (MARAD) and Military Sealift Command.
Under Michael’s leadership, the size and complexity of the government fleet managed by TOTE Services continues to expand. He ensures that shoreside staff and onboard crews work seamlessly together to support safe, high-quality vessel operations.
Michael began his career with TOTE Services in 1994 as a port engineer. During his more than 30 years with the company, his positions have included Engineering Superintendent, Engineering Manager and Director of Ship Management.
Before joining TOTE Services, Michael worked for several organizations in mechanical engineering, supporting a shore-based nuclear power plant and a variety of government-owned ships.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Lafayette College. A native New Yorker, Michael now resides in Ponte Vedra, Florida with his wife. He is also the proud father of two daughters.
