SAFETY AWARD TO TOTE SERVICES

Saltchuk Chairman Mark Tabutt presented TOTE Services with a coveted safety award for “Most Improved Lost Time Incident Rate 2012.”

On Friday, May 17th, Saltchuk Chairman Mark Tabutt presented TOTE Services with a coveted safety award for “Most Improved Lost Time Incident Rate 2012.” During 2012 TOTE Services crews recorded only three (3) Lost Time Incidents, which was a 57.14% reduction from 2011. TOTE Service vessels having zero lost time incidents in 2012 include: ALTAIR, GOPHER STATE, CORNHUSKER STATE, GOPHER STATE, CAPE HORN, CAPE HUDSON, PACIFIC TRACKER, PETERSBURG, JEAN ANNE and USNS WHEELER. We also commend our crews working on EL YUNQUE and EL MORRO for having zero Lost Time incidents in 2012, and our TOTE Service crews on the MIDNIGHT SUN and NORTH STAR for having had only one (1) Lost Time incident in 2012.
